About Me

I graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's in Engineering with a Concentration in Mechanical and two minors, one in Mathematics and the other in Physics. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Central Florida studying Aerospace Engineering. As a third year undergraduate I started a Small Satellite team with the goal of measuring Gamma Ray Detection Events in Tropical Thunderstorms and eventually Space Radiation in Deep Space Environments. While pursuing my graduate degree, I have contributed to research in Orbital Simulations by building a robotic arm that can be controlled with both open and closed loop feedback programs. This robotic arm will simulate Spaceflight Dynamics using Motion Capture Cameras to provide feedback to the system. Additionally, I have acted as researcher advisor for the Florida Space Institute in the Summer of 2024 on a CubeSat project that would demonstrate Telemetry Translations between different communication protocals through the use of an Optical Frequency Comb. Starting in May 2024, I became the President of the Knight Satellite Club at the University of Central Florida. The Knight Satellite Club is the CubeSat Center of Excellence for the University of Central Florida, where it is our goal to teach new students about the skills needed to be a Satellite Engineer, give these students an opportunity to practice these skills, and provide consultation to University of Central Florida Faculty and Staff who are interested in flying their own CubeSats.
